• Consulting to state systems charged with serving families and individuals with special health concerns and disabilities to assist with developing new programs, and streamlining and realigning older less responsive programs

• Developing pathways in service coordination that touch all aspects of community care
• Writing policies and procedures on all aspects of community care and inclusion
• Developing risk tools for vulnerable populations in the community

What is the Coordinating Center and what populations are served through The Center?
• The Coordinating Center is a non profit organization that provides a spectrum of services to people with complex medical needs and disabilities and their families and those who support them in the community. Aside from ACCESS Group consulting and technical assistance, the other core Coordinating Center services are:
Care Management through the Maryland Model Waiver program for children with complex medical needs and disabilities and the Rare and Expensive Case Management (REM) program for people with special health care needs.

What are the credentials of the staff of ACCESS Group and The Coordinating Center?
• The director of ACCESS Group, Carol Marsiglia, is a registered nurse with a masters degree in Nursing Informatics and certification in Case Management (CCM). All staff members have certification in their specific fields and many individuals are masters prepared as well. The Coordinating Center’s care management program is accredited by the URAC Case Management Program and The Center has merited the Standards for Excellence certification through the Maryland Association of Non Profit
